After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Gato Studio asked us to promote their upcoming game ‘The Waylanders’, with the aim of driving steam wishlists ahead of a highly anticipated launch. The goal of this campaign was to increase wishlist activity on Steam all across Europe and the US.
We used link referral technology to capture audiences on the steam website and then created custom audiences based on this data. This allowed us to reach highly engaged audiences and increase traffic on the site. We matched paid media activity to PR efforts, promoting content to align with big articles in publications such as PC Gamer, whilst targeting fans of these publications also.
As a result, Waylanders earned over 21k steam wishlists, providing a cost effective way of approaching a game release.
